Slow Stitching - Mindful Art

Do you know how powerful your hands are?

I stitch, unravel and draw as my creative process. The purpose is to make art and use this to connect with myself. Switching off from the everyday and allowing your hands to connect with the moment is so effective.

Slow stitching enables you to focus on your hands and be in the moment while making. It is my favourite creative process for when I need some self care time. I want to share this process with you and show you how easy and beneficial it is for your well being and mindfulness.

No experience is needed, I want you to enjoy the process.

Skills: Since graduating in BA Hons Fine Art in Cardiff, I have developed my career as a freelance project manager and artist educator in a broad range of art education projects. I have worked for museums, galleries and other organisations for over 23 years including: Fabrica Gallery, Towner, Arts Council England and Creative Partnerships, Sussex and Surrey. I have a keen interest in promoting the arts to a wider audience and as a tool for creative expression and learning. The aim is also to empower and inspire individuals in their own creative process.
